The Rocky Mountain Chapter of Healthcare Central Sterile Professionals (RMCHCSP) will host its Summer Workshop at Children’s Hospital, Saturday July 28, 2012. This year’s conference titled CSI Denver, sponsored and organized in part by Certol, will focus on sterilization processes and tracking down the root of problems when things go wrong. The program will feature a dozen vendors and provided 5.5 continuing education (CE) hours.
Speaking at the event will be Rose Seavey, RN and Chuck Hughes. Both are well known educators in the arena of Central Sterile and Infection Prevention and both will be speaking throughout the day. Seavey, a native of Denver, will speak about the process of tracking down mishaps in the sterilization process. Ms. Seavey has many accolades and as a former Board of Directors member of the Association of Preoperative Nurses (AORN), she works closely with the American Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and recently authored a publication.
Chuck Hughes, General Manager of SPS Medical Supply Corp. will address sterilization from a systematic approach during his two part program. Chuck is a recognized and trusted educator, receiving Educator of the Year awards from numerous state and regional Central Sterile organizations.
